About Us

In 2020 a friend was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and one of the first thing she said was ” I don’t want to loose my hair! It will be a daily reminder that I have Cancer to myself, my family, friends and everyone who sees me.” Her oncologist told her about cold capping and the success many people have of keeping at least 60% of their hair.  She contacted Arctic Cold Caps and rented manual cold caps for the duration of her Chemotherapy treatment. She was lucky to have support of family and friends to help cover the expensive cost of the rental of the caps. This was the start of our desire to provide people in the Lodi area the opportunity of using the cold cap system free of charge. What started out as morning runs with lots of wishes and hopes turned into a full non-profit by 2021. We have had such wonderful support from our local community and have been blessed to work with the generous Arctic Cold Caps to purchase a set of manual cold caps and a few portable capping machines, which makes the cold capping process much easier for some.

If you or a loved one are diagnosed with Cancer and would like to use the cold capping system in an attempt to keep your hair please contact us. Before contacting us we would like you to speack to your oncologist first to make sure that cold caps are appropriate for the type of Chemotherapy that you will be given. We also encourage you to contact Artic Cold Caps to check with them as well. We are here to provide you with the caps once you have made the decision after doing your research.
We have two options to choose from and all transactions happen at Now and Zen Yoga Studio (Deb’s place of business):
The manual caps are free of charge and includes: 8 Caps, Cooler on wheels, Thermometer, Timer, Gloves, Outer Cap, Straps, Moleskin, Liners, Special Comb, Satin Pillow Case. You will need to pick up with caps one day prior to treatment to put them on dry ice. We have a relationship with Barnes Welding in Stockton for the dry ice. You will return the caps the day after treatment.

The cold cap machine has a one time fee of $250 for the cap, unless we have a sponsor in which case it would be discounted or free, for the cap which is fit to the individual and their cap to keep. We provide the caps worn under and over the fitted caps as well as the Moleskin, Liners, Special Comb and Satin Pillow Case. The machine is picked up one day prior to treatment and dropped off the day after just like the manual caps.

We are so proud to be able to provide the cold cap systems to the Lodi area and are very grateful to all those who made this possible. Donations are always welcome to sponsor a cap for the machine, for the supplies that go with both cold cap systems and we are always raising funds to purchase more capping systems as we grow.
